Rare but serious side effects may include:

• Symptoms of an allergic reaction: swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; severe rash or itching; very rapid heartbeat; difficulty breathing or swallowing; fainting or dizziness
• Abnormal vision: changes in color vision (such as a blue tint) or blurred vision
• Abnormal hearing: sudden decrease or loss of hearing, ringing in the ears
• Erection lasting longer than 4 hours (priapism)
• Sudden severe vision loss in one or both eyes (NAION)
• Chest pain, swelling of the hands/feet/ankles, blistering or peeling skin

If you experience any of these symptoms, stop taking the medication and seek medical attention immediately.

Important: Share your complete medical history with your provider, especially if you have or have had:

• Pulmonary hypertension

• Low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Deformed penis shape
• An erection that lasted more than 4 hours
• Blood cell disorders such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
• Retinitis pigmentosa (a rare inherited eye disease)
• Severe vision loss, including a condition called NAION
• Bleeding disorders
• Stomach ulcers
• Liver or kidney problems (or currently on kidney dialysis)
• Any other medical conditions
• History of allergic reactions to medications

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal/dietary supplements.

Especially tell your provider if you take:

• Nitrates or nitric oxide donors
• Guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g., riociguat)
• Alpha-blockers (e.g., Hytrin, Flomax, Cardura, Minipress, Uroxatral, Jalyn, Rapaflo)
• HIV protease inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir, indinavir, saquinavir, atazanavir)
• Certain oral antifungal medicines or antibiotics
• Other medications for erectile dysfunction

Compounded Tadalafil must not be used with REVATIO® or other PAH treatments containing PDE5 inhibitors.

Tadalafil is not indicated for women or children.
